AD Proposed for Gulfstream G200 Airbrakes

The FAA issued a proposed Airworthiness Directive regarding the use of airbrakes on the Gulfstream G200/IAI Galaxy. Based on information supplied by the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel, the document details possible high-cycle fatigue failure of the airbrake inboard hinge. The problem could result from aerodynamically induced vibration of the airbrake after extension beyond 360 kias.
