ATR has chosen former company chief executive Filippo Bagnato to replace outgoing CEO Stephane Mayer, whose three-year mandate has expired in accordance with the Franco-Italian company’s statutes. Bagnato served as ATR’s CEO between 2004 and 2007. For the past three years he held the position of Finmeccanica’s executive vice president of technical, industrial and commercial development. From June 2007 to the end of this May he also served as chairman of the board of ATR.

ATR noted that Bagnato’s reappointment reflects the aim of ATR’s shareholders, Alenia Aeronautica (a Finmeccanica company) and EADS to ensure the

continuity of the ATR program management and foster the company’s growth.

Bagnato has held a number of high-level executive positions within EADS, including CEO of Eurofighter between September 2002 and May 2004.
