JetTech of Littleton, Colo., said it is developing a glass-panel upgrade for the Cessna Citation 501/551 series based on the Garmin G600. The $62,900 upgrade kit will include the cockpit displays, an air-data interface unit, pre-cut instrument panel, pitot-static plumbing and fittings, wiring harness and solid-state AHRS, the company said. JetTech plans to begin installations once it has obtained the FAA STC for the installation. The company will then make kits available to other Citation I/SP and II/SP operators through approved Garmin dealers. Featuring dual 6.5-inch-diagonal LCDs, the G600 upgrade adds capabilities for synthetic vision, terrain awareness, traffic avoidance, satellite weather and lightning strike data. The installation uses the airplaneā€™s existing RVSM equipment and Garmin GNS 430/530 GPS/navcoms. The upgrade is expected to take 15 days to complete.
