JetTech Aerospace has completed its acquisition of Cascade Aerospace’s Spokane, Wash. facilities and the new owner is Bret Burnside. A former executive with Cascade Aerospace, Burnside founded JetTech to acquire the Spokane operation, which Cascade sold in July 2010 to fill a need to “invest significant capital in its Abbotsford, B.C. headquarters.” JetTech recently became an OEM-approved completion center for the Boeing Business Jet line and has announced its intention to focus exclusively on the BBJ.

JetTech has a 61,000-sq-ft facility at Spokane International Airport, where it is co-located with Associated Painters’ new 41,000-sq-ft exterior paint shop, which is capable of working on two 757s simultaneously.

According to Burnside, JetTech expects its first green BBJ to arrive this month. The aircraft is being outfitted for First Virtual Air and the finished airplane is expected to be delivered in November 2011. JetTech will subsequently provide ongoing maintenance for the client.
