Dr. Gerd Berchtold, previously v-p of commercial aerostructures with EADS subsidiary Premium Aerotec, has been named CEO of Austrian OEM Diamond Aircraft, succeeding company owner Christian Dries, who will maintain an active management role with the manufacturer.

Fractional turboprop operator Avantair has named John Colucci as executive v-p.

Bombardier has appointed Charles (Chet) Fuller senior v-p of sales, marketing and asset management for its commercial aircraft division.

John Jarrell, formerly v-p and general manager of air traffic systems with Sensis, has been named v-p and general manager of airborne communications provider EMS Aviation, replacing Nim Evatt, who has retired.

AIN senior editor Stephen Pope, who also served as editor of sister publication Business Jet Traveler, has taken a position with Flying Magazine as a senior editor.

Hawker Beechcraft has restructured its Asian sales force, naming Jeff Anastas regional vice president for North Asia and Dan Keady regional vice president for South Asia. Reporting to them are Chris Edwards, regional sales director for Hong Kong, ­Macau, Japan and Korea; Matthew Liu, ­regional sales director for China; Brett Carlson, regional sales director for Australia and New Zealand; Pasha Saleh, regional sales director for Southeast Asia; and Todd Hattaway, regional sales director for India. The OEM also appointed Scott Wells to serve
as its field service representative for the China and North Asian markets. Closer to home, the airframer hired Knut Pedersen as director of engineering at its Little Rock completions center.

Flight Options has named Matthew Doyle v-p of sales and marketing, replacing Jay Heubein, who has been appointed to the same role with Nextant Aerospace.

David Leblanc and Cameron Burr, previously partners at aviation investment firm JetCapital, have been named COO and executive v-p of corporate ­development and marketing, ­respectively, at San Diego-based jet engine and parts broker Avioserv.

Aircraft management and charter provider JetFlite International has appointed Pat Marano v-p of business development for the eastern U.S.

Brent Moldowan has been named managing director of aviation safety auditor Wyvern Consulting.

Enterprise Jet Center has named Brandon Davis, previously an account manager with Universal Weather & Aviation, as its director of sales. The Houston-based FBO also promoted Kevin Nichols from senior floor mechanic to director of maintenance.

Marc Johnson has joined Denton, Texas-based Jet Works Air Center as director of sales for large-cabin completions.

Gulfstream has promoted Christine Manka Williams from assistant program manager for the company’s military and special missions unit to senior operations manager for refurbishment.

UK-based Air Partner has promoted ­Simon Wheatley from private jet team leader to the position of UK manager of its private jets division.

Engine repair and overhaul specialist BBA Aviation has appointed several new regional managers. Mike Frazier was tapped as Northeastern regional engine manager for Pratt & Whitney Canada products, while Dennis Kaney joined the company as Northeastern U.S. regional engine manager for Honeywell products. Chris Little was promoted to regional engine manager for Pratt & Whitney Canada products in the Mid-States.

The Regional Airline Association (RAA) has elected its officers for this year.
Jim Rankin of Air Wisconsin was named chairman, while American Eagle’s Dan Garton was chosen as vice chairman. Keith Houk (PSA Airlines) and Dan Wolf (Cape Air) were tapped as treasurer and secretary, respectively.

Jerry Hanson has been named director of operations at San Diego-based charter provider Schubach Aviation.

North Texas-based helicopter completions, overhaul, maintenance and aircraft support provider Uniflight has named Shirley Harvey sales and marketing manager.

UK-based aircraft sales and brokerage specialist PremiAir Global has appointed Craig Lammiman and Gordon Potter as aircraft sales managers.

Flexjet has chosen Alan Stoddard as its new director of strategy. The Bombardier subsidiary also added two new sales directors to its jet card program. Jason Bannerman and Adam Smith will serve the Washington, D.C., and Atlanta areas, respectively.

Rich Baeder, formerly Duncan Aviation’s manager of government and special programs, has joined Illinois-based service provider Elliott Aviation as v-p and general manager at its Quad City International ­Airport facility.

FlightSafety International has named Mark Malkosky assistant director of maintenance training business development and sales. The aviation training provider also promoted Fabio Miguez from assistant manager of its learning center in Columbus, Ohio, to manager of the Detroit Metro/Toledo facility. He replaces David Glass, who has been named manager of the Houston Learning Center.

The British Business & General Aviation Association has named Marc Bailey, previously head of quality, continuing airworthiness and training with Cobham Aviation Services, its new COO.

California-based Circor Aerospace has named Kevin Pizzarello, formerly with Parker Aerospace, fluid control sales director.

Avionics specialist Chicago Jet Group has hired Derrick Hayden as an avionics technician. Previously he was an avionics manager with Duncan Aviation.
