Military Passes NAS Brunswick to Civilian Use

A ceremony was held last month at the Naval Air Station at Brunswick, Maine to celebrate the “approval of the public benefit conveyance of the property to the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority.” This event marks the official transfer of the former military base and its 990 acres of runways, hangars, ramps and other facilities to civilian use. In April, FlightLevel Aviation is scheduled to open an FBO, and from August 26 to 28 the authority will host an airshow highlighted by the Blue Angels and featuring a Business Aviation Expo.
