The Gulfstream V that had been detained in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since February 4 was released in late March, along with the remaining flight crew and passengers, according to Arcadia Aviation, which manages the aircraft. The aircraft has returned to the U.S. On March 15, the co-captain and flight attendant were allowed to leave. According to a statement from New York City-based Arcadia Aviation, “A misunderstanding between the DRC authorities and passengers on a business trip into the DRC city of Goma in early February led to an investigation by the authorities. During this period all of the passengers, flight crew and aircraft were not allowed to depart. In the end, there were no charges made against any of the passengers, nor the flight crew.”
