Winner Aviation, the sole aviation services provider at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport (YNG) in Vienna, Ohio, was purchased by its former manager, Rick Hale. The FBO offers aircraft charter and management and avionics repair and provides airframe and engine MRO capabilities to the turboprop and small to medium jet segment. The company lays claim to being the world’s oldest independent factory-authorized service center for the Honeywell TPE331. The facility, which has existed in the same location at the airport for more than 65 years, has also purchased an adjoining hangar, adding 12,000 sq ft of hangar space and 2,500 more sq ft of office space to its existing 70,000 sq ft of hangar and working space. According to Don Taylor, Winner’s general manager and vice president of operations, the new space will help accommodate recent increases in MRO, charter and aircraft management business.
