Looking forward to a continued recovery, Bombardier Aerospace released its annual Aircraft Market Forecasts on May 18, predicting 24,000 business aircraft deliveries from 2011 to 2030 and market-wide revenues of $626 billion.
For the nearer-term next decade from 2011 to 2020, the company expects 10,000 deliveries worth $260 billion. The forecast took note of upward-trending industry indicators and “the beginning of a market recovery.” It also marked China, India and other developing parts of the world as capturing an increasingly important share of industry orders. And going forward into the next 20 years, Bombardier forecasts that North America, Europe and China will be the three most active markets and will generate the most revenues.
“While industry deliveries are not expected to improve significantly in 2011, key indicators are showing an upward trend and it is expected that business aircraft deliveries will continue to grow in 2012,” the report concluded. o
