St. George, Utah-based SkyWest on May 11 named former CFO and executive vice president Brad Rich president of the company as part of a restructuring that saw vice president of finance and treasurer Michael Kraupp become chief financial officer. Long-time SkyWest chief executive Jerry Atkin remains chairman of the board and CEO.
Under the restructuring, SkyWest Airlines president and COO Chip Childs and Atlantic Southeast Airlines president and COO Brad Holt will report directly to Rich.
In his new role as CFO and treasurer, Kraupp will oversee structured finance, fleet planning, information technology, investor and banking relations, benefits, risk management and overall treasury functions.
A SkyWest executive for nearly 24 years, Rich served as the company’s CFO since 1991 and led negotiations for the acquisition of Atlanta-based Atlantic Southeast in 2005 and, most recently, the acquisition of Houston-based ExpressJet.
