Talco Aviation and DRB Aviation have formed a “strategic partnership” that will provide a broad range of completions and refurbishment project supervisory and management services.

In cooperation with DRB Aviation Consultants, Talco will cater to owners and operators of single- and twin-aisle Boeing and Airbus aircraft being converted to executive/VIP use.

According to Talco president Tom Langeland, in the past three years alone, the two companies have been involved in the completion or refurbishment of seven Boeing Business Jets, two Airbus A319s and five Embraer Lineage 1000s. “The strategic partnership established between Talco and DRB will provide our clients access to an entire team of professionals in every engineering, certification and completion management discipline.”

The partnership includes the opening this summer of an office in China. A lot of Chinese buyers are often starting at ground zero when it comes to outfitting the cabin of a business jet, explained Langeland. And he noted this is especially true of larger bizliners, for which the only guidance is a list of interior completion and refurbishment centers that are approved by the aircraft manufacturers. “We can provide that additional guidance.”

Talco will also work as a product representative for cabin component suppliers, from purveyors of leather to metal plating to cabin entertainment.
