Hawker Beechcraft Realigning Production Work

Hawker Beechcraft is proceeding with relocation of some of the company’s facilities, chairman and CEO Bill Boisture noted during the company’s first-quarter earnings call last month. “We’re winding down in Salina at this point and by the end of this year we will have closed one million square feet of real estate in Wichita and Salina, which represents about 30 to 35 percent of the company’s total footprint.” Boisture said the company plans to double the staff at its new Chihuahua, Mexico plant to 1,000 workers by year-end as it increases capacity.
