Cordner Aviation Group made its first show appearance earlier this year at Ebace, announcing a one-stop shop for multi-role reconfigurations of the BAe 146 and Avro RJ.
To that end, the Berlin-based group has agreements with several UK-based firms: Design Q of London for interior design, Inflite Engineering Services of London for post-sale cabin completion and modifications, and Cello Aviation in Birmingham for aircraft management and charter.
Cordner and its partners have already converted a number of BAe 146s and Avro RJs, including corporate shuttle, cargo, executive and quick-change multi-role aircraft.
The most recent idea from Cordner is a conversion it has named Surveyor, which is being outfitted to fit the specific needs of the world’s mining industry. The final version will be capable of carrying up to 112 passengers and can be changed out quickly to a combination passenger/executive cabin or passenger/medevac combi with a LifePort cabin. According to president and founder Stewart Cordner, the aircraft can also be highly customized, depending on the customer’s specific requirements.
The BAe 146 and Avro RJ are known for exceptional unimproved field and “hot-and-high” performance. In terms of short-field performance, they are approved for such limited runways as that at London City Airport.
