Paragon Aviation Group, a network of independently owned service providers, has added to its footprint with the addition of the Business Jet Center locations at Metropolitan Oakland International Airport and Dallas Love Field. The two FBOs were members of ExxonMobil’s Avitat chain, until the fuel provider disbanded the U.S.-based program last year.

“We are so excited to align ourselves with other independent operators who understand the value of being an independent FBO and are committed to raising the standards on what our customers can and should expect,” said Bill Moltenbrey, Business Jet Center’s director.

Open to independent FBOs as well as small chains, Paragon Aviation Group requires that operators undergo an audit to ensure the quality of facilities and services offered. According to Paragon president Mike Delk, benefits of membership include increased leverage in the purchase of FBO services, such as flight tracking software. Eventually Paragon expects to be able to offer insurance discounts as well.
