Canadian MRO, completions and refurbishment specialist Flying Colours is rapidly expanding its presence in the Asian market.
Since the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) last year, the company has delivered four Challenger 850 cabin completions in the Chinese market and has another five 850s in the pipeline, scheduled for delivery over the next year.
In addition, the Peterborough, Ontario-based center has completed two major Global Express cabin refurbishments for Chinese clients in the past year, and by the end of this year will have delivered a total of 15 Challenger 850s in that country.
The most recent Challenger completions included “a complete smoke extraction system” for the removal of cigarette smoke during flight, as well as installation of SwiftBroadband global Internet connectivity.
On the other side of the world, Flying Colours recently completed a second project for German operator FairJets. The job included a full 96-month heavy maintenance inspection, as well as interior refurbishment and new exterior paint. It was a joint project with Flying Colours sister company JetCorp Tech Services in St. Louis.
