CMC Electronics (Booth No. 1458) announced yesterday that Dassault now offers its PilotView electronic flight bag (EFB) as a standard option on all new Falcon 2000DX, 2000EX, 900DX and 900EX aircraft. The class-2 EFB is mounted on the pilot or copilot side and certified for all phases of flight. Aircraft deliveries with the installed EFB began last March.
Also, Pentastar Aviation of Waterford, Mich., has earned an STC to install dual CMC PilotView EFB systems in IAI 1125 Astra; Gulfstream Astra SPX/G100, G150, GII, GIIB, GIII, GIV, GV and GV/SP; as well as Dassault Falcon 2000/2000EX business jets. This STC covers a yoke-mounted EFB on which Gulfstream and Dassault operators can access Jeppesen charts and graphical weather information. The PilotView EFB enables access to current aircraft documentation and flight planning information, providing en-route and approach charts, moving map display and graphical real-time weather.
CMC said it expects imminent certification of the PilotView EFB and the SureSight M-Series enhanced-vision system (EVS), both selected as factory options and retrofit kits for the Pilatus PC-12. The PilotView EFB can function as a stand-alone system or a display for the M-Series EVS infrared sensor.
Jean-Pierre Mortreux, president and CEO of CMC Electronics, said, “Many of the features found only in Class 3 EFBs, such as ‘FMS-style’ line-select keys, a high-resolution fully dimmable display, integrated communication capabilities and DO-160D qualification, make the PilotView an ideal system to meet the varied requirements of the discerning business aircraft operator.”
