This Year’s Latin American Bizav Show ‘Deferred’

NBAA and the Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (ABAG) disclosed yesterday that they have ‘deferred’ this year’s Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE 2006), citing problems with the host airport. The event, which was scheduled for August 10 to 12, won’t take place as planned, NBAA said, because of significant issues related to an accelerated construction project at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo, Brazil. While the associations have explored other airport locations for the event, no new facility has been found that is adequate, and insufficient time remains for any consideration of a change in the facility to be used. “We regret having to make this move, but NBAA and ABAG are convinced that the decision to reschedule this year’s event is in the best interest of our members, exhibitors, attendees and future LABACE events,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “We hope to be able to announce new dates for the show in the near future.”
