Not satisfied to rest on its laurels of introducing 25 new or derivative Citations in the last 10 years, Cessna used the NBAA venue to introduce its 26th model, the Encore+. Scheduled for certification by the end of 2006 to enable initial deliveries in February 2007, the Encore+ introduces several improvements over the Encore. The key upgrades include Pro Line 21 avionics, Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535B engines with FADEC, a 200-pound increase in payload capability and LED indirect lighting. Other standard avionics on the Encore+ include TCAS II, Enhanced GPWS and Nexrad weather data uplink. Cessna is introducing the Encore+ with an NBAA Convention price of $7.995 million. After the convention, the price jumps $100,000 to $8.095 million.
