Among business jet manufacturers, Cessna, Gulfstream and Raytheon are the top performers in AIN’s 2005 Product Support Survey. AIN readers gave Gulfstream the highest marks for both its newer and older jets when ratings for the Westwind series are excluded. When these models are included in Gulfstream’s combined average, Cessna moves into the top spot for new and old business jets combined. Raytheon Aircraft climbed to the number-three spot in support of newer business jets, as well as in the combined rating (for both jets and turboprops), followed by Embraer, Dassault and Bombardier. Pilatus received the highest score for newer turboprops. Support for the Mitsubishi MU-2 not only received the top rating for older turboprops, the out-of-production aircraft also received the highest overall rating of the entire survey. Williams and Honeywell garnered the top score for jet and turboprop engines, respectively. Survey respondents again rated Garmin the highest among the 14 avionics manufacturers.
