Mid Continent Controls  (Booth No. 4926) is displaying its in-flight entertainment technology with new media disc players capable of reading DVDs from all geographic regions as well as compact, video compact, MP3, DVD+RW and DVD-RW discs.

Mid Continent Controls of Derby, Kan., said its MC2 players with single- and dual-disc drive options are among the most compact and lightweight players being offered for mid-size business aircraft. Designed for installation in a broad spectrum of aircraft and cabin sizes, the MC2 players also can be mated with a new audio/video on-demand (AVOD) module serving multiple hours of movies and music stored digitally on a removable drive.

The company also is showing a new passenger interface for multiple in-flight entertainment (IFE) features in the form of an aircraft cabin control and entertainment touch-screen switch panel developed to complement its auto-config system. In addition to cabin environment and entertainment selections, the panel allows passengers to choose flight information, camera features and moving map data.

Mid Continent Controls said its cabin IFE controls “offer ease of installation for aircraft technicians and ease of use for passengers.”
