Making good on its promise made last year at the NBAA Convention in Orlando when it announced the program, Pilatus Business Aircraft will today present a real Next Generation PC-12 here in Atlanta. The aircraft on display, N47NG, is the second Next Generation PC-12 in the flight test program, which began on October 5 last year when the prototype, HB-FPT, made its first flight. To date, HB-FPT has accumulated almost 400 hours and made three Atlantic crossings. N47NG flew for the first time on August 14 this year, has logged more than 35 hours and made one Atlantic crossing to be here in Atlanta. (It has also had its wings removed and reinstalled at least once–to bring it into Hall C of the Georgia World Congress Center.) According to Thomas Hunziker, president and CEO of Pilatus, the “heart” of the improvements that define the Next Generation PC-12 is its Honeywell Primus Apex avionics. The presentation of the N47NG will take place at 11 a.m. in Hall C, Booth No. 757.
