Hawker Beechcraft has hired Harris Williams to shop seven of its U.S. fuel and line operations–a move not unexpected after the company announced late last month that it was selling its aircraft and charter management division to Sentient Flight Group. The planned sale would include Hawker Beechcraft FBOs in Atlanta; Houston; Indianapolis; San Antonio; Tampa, Fla.; Van Nuys, Calif.; and Wichita. The company said its operations in Little Rock, Ark.; Chester, UK; and Toluca, Mexico, will not be affected by the planned divestiture. Additionally, Hawker Beechcraft Services maintenance and customer support facilities collocated at these locations will remain unaffected. “We have had strong [outside] interest in our fuel and line operations for several years,” said Hawker Beechcraft chairman and CEO Jim Schuster. “The prospective sale of our fuel business aligns well with our strategy to focus our investments in our maintenance and support operations.” The company said it will not comment on any proposals received or any speculation relating to the sales of its FBOs.
