Dassault Falcon 900C and 900EX owners will soon be able to get flight-deck facelifts, thanks to a Honeywell retrofit program announced here at the show by StandardAero (Booth No. 899).
StandardAero will be the launch partner for the program and will generate the first STC for Honeywell’s DU-875, which is expected to be completed late next year. The DU-875, which features liquid-crystal displays, will replace Honeywell Primus 2000 DU-870 cathode-ray-tube displays.
The new displays have the same dimensions as the Primus 2000’s but require less power, are 35 pounds lighter and are nearly twice as reliable, according to StandardAero. However, they retain the Primus 2000’s display symbology and functionality.
The company also announced here that it will co-brand and market a new Shadin Avionics electronic engine-monitoring system for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A. The Shadin Avionics ETM-XL records flight duration, engine cycles, trends and instances of exceeding predetermined engine limits. It will be available for installation at the end of the first quarter of next year.
