The FAA and EASA granted a major repair organization design authorization (MRA-ODA) to StandardAero’s Maryville, Tenn. engine and APU repair and overhaul base. Under the approval, StandardAero engineers can approve major repairs on the engines, components and APUs serviced in Maryville, including the Rolls-Royce AE3007 and AE2100; Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, PW100 and PW600; General Electric CF34; Honeywell TFE731 and TPE331 engines; and Honeywell and Hamilton Sundstrand APUs. At its facility in Tilburg, the Netherlands, StandardAero received EASA design organization approval (DOA), allowing company engineers “to design and approve minor repairs to Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 engine components,” according to StandardAero. “DOA authorization eliminates delays due to external approval requirements for minor repairs.” Both the ODA and DOA approvals help companies such as StandardAero design repairs that supplement those already described in engine, component and APU repair manuals, speeding up turn-times and lowering costs to customers. StandardAero’s Winnipeg, Canada facility also holds a DOA.
