PremiAir opened its new maintenance center for Hawker Beechcraft aircraft at Oxford Airport. The operation has relocated from the UK group’s Blackbushe base near London and now occupies the former CSE Aviation hangar which has been upgraded to the tune of almost $1.5 million.
The facility is approved to European EASA Part 145 base maintenance standards and employs 20 staff. PremiAir is planning to add more personnel in the near future. Oxford Airport now has four EASA Part 145 maintenance providers on site and it expects to see more established there.
“Our company’s relationship with Hawker Beechcraft spans 25 years and we’re very proud to be associated with the manufacturer and be part of their worldwide authorized service center network,” said PremiAir group managing director David McRobert. An official opening ceremony on April 28 was attended by around 90 guests, including UK Beechcraft operators and Hawker Beechcraft vice president of product support Greg Graber.
