Fort Lauderdale-based CRS Jet Spares is in negotiations to add facility space in Hong Kong. “We’ve been studying the Asia market for three years and we feel the time is right to make the move,” CEO Armando Leighton told AIN. The company is currently moving inventory to the West Coast so the Hong Kong facility can be quickly stocked once it is opened. However, Leighton said the company will maintain its inventory on the West Coast to serve customers in that part of the country. “Many of our West Coast customers have used our inventory and the time has come to increase our commitment to operators in the region. We don’t want to lose valuable relationships to time-zone differences, so we are duplicating the services offered at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters.” In addition to 24/7 AOG support, the West Coast facilities, located in Chatsworth, Calif. (between Van Nuys and Burbank) and Seattle, house a comprehensive inventory of parts for Gulfstreams, Challengers and Learjets. The company is also increasing its stock levels of Securaplane main ship and emergency batteries.
