The 10th annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) is set to open next week in Geneva (May 4 to 6). Organizers NBAA and the European Business Aviation Association said they are encouraged by a 30-percent increase in advance visitor registrations compared with last year’s show. The static display is sold out, with more than 60 show aircraft slated to park on the event’s ramp area adjacent to the Pal-Expo Convention Center, which houses the booth exhibits. New this year at the static display will be the recently certified Cessna Citation CJ4 and Embraer Phenom 300. Bookings in the exhibition halls are within 2 percent of 2009 levels–some 426 companies are currently on the roster–but with bigger average booth sizes, meaning that the show floor will be larger than last year. You can count on AIN for full coverage in our award-winning EBACE Convention News daily print editions at the show next Tuesday through Thursday, daily coverage in AINalerts issues next Monday through Thursday, real-time online news from the show at AINonline and a full report in the June issue of Aviation International News. EBACE exhibitors wanting to share news should send this as soon as possible to international show editions editor Charles Alcock.
