September 30 and October 1 are the dates for the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association’s inaugural Northeast Regional Airworthiness Symposium (Neras). It will be held at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Conn. The Friday evening reception is followed by a day of educational opportunities. “We’re excited to announce our first Neras event. We’ll be celebrating the best of the aviation maintenance industry with a symposium dedicated to professional development, education and networking with fellow aviation maintenance technicians,” Clark Gordon, PAMA’s president, told AIN. “The focus of Neras will be on taking aviation maintenance to the next level…as we confront the previous year’s numerous opportunities and challenges, creating leaders for the future,” he said. The organization still has sponsor opportunities available and some spots for speakers. “We’re inviting the aviation maintenance community to submit proposals to make a presentation. This is your opportunity to shape the program by sharing your knowledge and expertise with other aviation maintenance professionals from around the globe,” Gordon said. PAMA members may register for $100 before August 31; registration is $125 after that date. Non-member registration is $125 early bird and $175 after.
