The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) recently approved two Raisbeck Engineering King Air performance systems–the dual aft body strakes and the Crown wing lockers. First applications of the modifications in China are on a King Air 350, the Seattle-based company said. Other applications for Raisbeck mods–including current and upcoming performance systems on the Learjet 31/35/36/60 and all other King Air models–are currently working their way through the CAAC, according to Raisbeck. This includes the Learjet 60 aft fuselage locker system, which is in development and will begin deliveries this year. The Chinese certifications that were issued last month followed an earlier visit in August by deputies from the CAAC to Raisbeck Engineering’s offices in Seattle. Hawker Beechcraft assisted in the process and was “instrumental in its success,” Raisbeck added. Raisbeck’s systems are certified worldwide and are installed and supported by a global network of more than 100 service centers, including those of Hawker Beechcraft.
