Gulfstream has appointed Jet Aviation St. Louis as a factory-authorized service center. The approval gives the facility OEM authorization to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the Gulfstream G350, G400, G450, G500, G550, GIV/IV-SP and GV. “This designation allows us to provide warranty support for Gulfstream aircraft and facilitates our access to parts and Gulfstream technical support,” said Charles Krugh, senior vice president and general manager.
The St. Louis operation already has OEM approvals from Bombardier and Embraer and a large number of engine and avionics manufacturers. The company maintains OEM-dedicated maintenance teams and hangars for Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Hawker and Gulfstream aircraft.
“We are currently adding select individuals and will add personnel as the demand continues to build,” Skip Madsen, vice president of MRO operations, told AIN.
Since 2006, when Jet Aviation acquired the 658,000-sq-ft Midcoast facility, the MRO has worked on approximately 1,300 aircraft. Madsen declined to put a price tag on expanding the company’s portfolio but did say the organization has been investing significantly in its infrastructure, including improved hangar lighting and painted floors, new and upgraded equipment and newly built customer lounges.
