Aviall Services has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Rolls-Royce for parts, modules and tooling for the RR300 turboshaft used on the Robinson R66. Deliveries of the R66 have already passed the 150 mark; the helicopter manufacturer expects deliveries to peak at several hundred per year, with annual flight hours reaching nearly 900,000 by 2020.
The global agreement, which runs to June 2022, creates a new product line for Aviall. “The RR300 adds 252 unique part numbers to our inventory,” a spokesman for Aviall told AIN. Aviall will distribute RR300 new parts and modules, exchange material, exchange modules, RR300 kits, tooling and electronic publications with responsibility for sales, marketing, forecasting, stocking, inventory, warranty processing and order fulfillment.
In addition to the new 10-year agreement for the RR300, Rolls-Royce and Aviall announced an extension of their distribution agreement for the Rolls-Royce 250 turboshaft/turboprop, which has been in effect since January 2000. This latest agreement also extends that relationship until June 2022. Aviall will sell primarily to Rolls-Royce approved engine overhaul shops and service centers, although customers can order on Aviall.com or directly from an Aviall customer service center.
