Elliott Aviation announced plans to add 50 new jobs and invest $1.8 million over the next two years for improvements at its Quad City International Airport location in Moline, Ill. Currently, Elliott Aviation has 240 full-time employees; with the planned expansion, the company anticipates growing to nearly 300 employees in the next two years.
Rich Baeder, vice president and general manager, told AIN, “Over the past couple of years, Elliott Aviation has experienced a significant increase in the number of major jet airframe inspections and modification projects. Our substantial growth has allowed us to diversify the type of aircraft we maintain, and the products and services we offer. Expanding our abilities has allowed us to meet not only the needs of Hawker operators, but also the needs of Challenger and Citation operators.”
Baeder said the company puts a high priority on partnering with local vendors and small businesses. In the last 12 months, Elliott Aviation has spent $2 million with Quad-Cities suppliers. The company has invested more than $20 million over the last 15 years in buildings and equipment owned by the Metropolitan Airport Authority, which are leased back to Elliott.
