Vector Aerospace Financial Services Ireland (VFS) is offering the medium- to heavy-lift market a fleet of customized Super Puma AS332Ls, including leasing and by-the-hour support. The offer is targeting the UN, NATO and EU markets. VFS was formed last year by Vector Aerospace, a provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul services, to provide combined lease and support solutions.
Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services developed a configuration package designed specifically to meet the performance and reliability specifications of the utility operator. It includes the removal of dedicated offshore equipment and the upgrade/retrofit of modern technology. The resulting lighter weight, modernized aircraft combines the performance of the Super Puma with the operational enhancements that come from new features such as cockpit voice/flight data recorder and night-vision goggles.
“Our lease program allows customers to operate an AS332L Super Puma, complete with a by-the-hour parts support program, without the large capital investment associated with the outright purchase of either a second-hand aircraft or the associated typical aircraft financial lease type obligations,” said Michael Tyrrell, managing director of Vector UK.
