The China Corporate Jet Alliance, founded last year at ABACE as the “China Business Jet Shanghai Alliance” to promote the sustainable growth of the business aviation market in China, inducted four new members today at ABACE 2013.
Minsheng International Jet, NetJets China, Hawker Pacific and MetroJet joined the organization’s charter members, which also includes business aircraft manufacturers Airbus Corporate Jetliner, Boeing Business Jets, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna Aircraft, Dassault Falcon, Beechcraft, Gulfstream Aerospace and Embraer. In addition, the group includes China-based business jet operators BAA, China Eastern, China Southern, Deer Jet, Donghai Jet, Nanshan Jet and ZYB Lily Jet.
The alliance meets regularly and has pledged to make concerted efforts “to share information” and to create a “standard code of conduct to promote a sound and orderly development of the market.”
There are political objectives too, including addressing barriers to growth in China such as opening restricted upper airspace to business aircraft, reducing taxes and bringing in experts from throughout the global industry to develop a better operating environment. Safety, development of facilities, maintenance training and ground handling are also key objectives.
