Addison, Texas-based Baker Aviation has received FAA Ops Specs approval to maintain the Falcon 10, 20, 50, 900 and 2000 series. According to Baker Aviation COO Ray Goyco Jr., the approvals give the MRO the authority to do A, B and C inspections, troubleshooting events and engine R&Rs.
“We currently have eleven warm-market clients who own and operate various Dassault Falcons. When you add our existing clients to the potential market base we are now reaching, we are forecasting at least 20 maintenance events within the first 12 months of approval,” he told AIN.
The company’s existing qualified personnel have capacity for the additional approval, Goyco said, and it also has access to maintenance instructors who can be used to assist in inspections if needed.
Baker Aviation also recently expanded its plant. “The new hangar can handle Falcons and Challengers but we did purchase some specific GSE items and fixtures exclusive to the Falcon,” he added.
The MRO received its FAA repair station certification last year and works on Hawkers, King Airs, Beechjets, Citations, Learjets, Challengers and Gulfstreams.
