Embraer Executive Jets (Chalet A7) is enjoying strong sales with a cumulative total of more than 630 sold in 50 countries to date, according to Colin Steven, the unit’s vice president of sales and marketing, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “We delivered 99 jets in both 2011 and 2012, despite the total market deliveries having dropped 6 percent in the same period,” he said.
“While the total value of market deliveries fell 2 percent, the value of our deliveries grew by 15 percent, and [our] deliveries now account for 15 percent of all business-jet deliveries. Since entry into service of our first Legacy executive jet in 2002, Embraer Executive Jets has achieved a 22 percent share of the markets we serve.”
Embraer aircraft will have a significant presence in the Dubai Airshow’s static display. “Our full executive jets portfolio will be offered at the Dubai Airshow, with a special emphasis on the new version of the Lineage 1000, a new interior design of the Legacy 500 and Legacy 450 and a 2014 edition of the Phenom 100. On static display we will have the Lineage 1000 and Legacy 650 aircraft.”
Steven was coy about sales in the Middle East region. “We don’t normally advise quantity of sales, except to say that it’s a major market for us and that the business jet deliveries to the region have been maintained over the last few years.
“The Lineage 1000, the Legacy 650 and the Legacy 600 are certainly the most popular models in the Middle East, as their ranges enable non-stop flights from Dubai to South Africa, Western Europe, northeastern Russia, Japan, China and Central Asia. [The region is] extremely important, as our Middle East customers represent the largest Lineage market and second-largest Legacy market in the world.”
In the MRO space, Embraer has appointed two regional operators to act as authorized service centers to offer maintenance support. “ExecuJet, located at Dubai International Airport, [and here at Stand 2406] supports our Phenom 300, Legacy 600/650 and Lineage 1000 customers. In Abu Dhabi, Falcon Aviation Services supports our Lineage and Legacy customers alike,” he said.
“Embraer Executive Jets offers a global network for its executive jets, close to 70 owned and authorized service centers. The network is complemented by a 24/7 customer service center at the company’s headquarters in São Jose dos Campos, Brazil, which offers assistance to Embraer executive jet customers anywhere in the world.”
