Aerochine Aviation Sees Double-digit Growth of Helicopters in China

Aerochine Aviation, an independent representative of Bell Helicopter for China, Hong Kong and Macau, signed a purchase agreement for five more Bell 505 helicopters yesterday at ABACE 2014. Shortly afterwards Aerochine signed another agreement to buy two more Bell 407s.

According to Diana Chou, managing director of Aerochine, one customer has already signed up for three of the new 505s, which will be used in sightseeing/tourism operations. Deliveries of these 505s should take place near the end of 2016, she said. The two 407s have been purchased by Yalong General Aviation of Hainan Island. One of these helicopters will be delivered in June and the second in early 2015.

Aerochine plans to build a maintenance service center based on its expectations of double-digit growth in sales of helicopters, many of which are slated to fly tourism operations in major Chinese scenic areas.

“The liberation of low airspace 1,000 meters and below has fueled domestic development,” said Chou. “Having sold numerous Bell Helicopters over the past four years, Aerochine recognizes the growing demand for single-engine helicopters, such as the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.”

Since the beginning of this year, Aerochine has signed purchase agreements with end users for five Bell 505s and three Bell 407s.

With offices in Shanghai and Beijing, Hong Kong-headquartered Aerochine (Booth 529 and 531) provides consulting services to government, corporate and high-net-worth customers and after-sales support.

Sino Private Aviation, an Aerochine Aviation sister company and Bombardier representative, recently added a Bombardier Global jet to its fleet.

L’Voyage, a Sino Private Aviation subsidiary, specializes in brokering charters in China. It reported a 230-percent in charter business compared to 2013.
