FIFA World Cup support will be provided by Bombardier out of its regional support office (RSO) in São Paulo, where local support will be coordinated in conjunction with Bombardier’s customer response centers. The company has plans for five field service representatives based at Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.
A spokesman for Bombardier told AIN, “This is part of a continuing effort by Bombardier to position customer response teams in support of local events around the world. For instance, we supported [the recent] Formula One race in Montreal with a customer response team.”
Bombardier has a continuing program to expand its customer support. In October 2012 the company instituted a fleet of seven customer service trucks positioned around the U.S. with dedicated avionics and A&P technicians. This past March, Bombardier added a Learjet 45 based out of Chicago that can be dispatched throughout North America.
Bombardier will be deploying its customer response team (FAA and EASA capable) to provide onsite maintenance in Brazil.
