The European Business Aviation Association is expanding its reach by filling two new senior roles. The association brought in seasoned business aviation executive Robert Baltus to serve as chief operating officer and Eric Drosin as communications director.
The new appointments follow the hiring of Brandon Mitchener earlier this year to lead the association as CEO. Mitchener, a veteran journalist and communications executive, had cited among his early goals plans to elevate the association’s outreach and communications efforts to regulators and the public.
On the operational front, Baltus brings nearly 20 years of business aviation experience, including with aircraft management, fractional-share and charter operators. He has served with Executive Jet Management and NetJets, and has advised and supported senior management and executive boards of several aviation-related companies.
Similar to Mitchener, Drosin has a background that spans more than 20 years in communications and journalism. He has worked with global news organizations, but also has experience in communications, public affairs and advocacy across the transport, energy, sustainability, apparel and luxury goods sectors.
