Saint-Gobain Flight Structures is supplying all the nose radomes for the Embraer Phenom 100 and 300, the company announced at a press conference here on Monday. It has supplied radomes for Embraer aircraft for 30 years.

Adam Aircraft also has chosen Saint-Gobain’s radomes for the Adam A700 jet. A radome has been installed in the test aircraft and will be on production models.

SATSair, the Greenville, N.C. air taxi startup, announced yesterday it has signed a $45 million deal with Cirrus Design Corp. (Booth No. 2957) to add 50 new Cirrus SR22 piston single-engine aircraft to its fleet, with an option to purchase 50 more.

Valuations of both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft will now be available in one place, as announced jointly by HeliValue$ and SAI at the HeliValue$ booth (No. 3189) yesterday. The two companies are collaborating to provide access to all aircraft valuations, along with machinery, inventory and business assessments.

The father and son team of Jim and Mark Matheson marked the advances in fleet support for the Twin Commander Aircraft, since their acquisition of the company last November 1. In that first year, the Mathesons have aimed to preserve or even increase value for Twin Commander owners.

“Serving out-of-production aircraft is a challenge,” said Jim Matheson at NBAA’06. “We want to maintain the level of owner satisfaction.”

Ravi Tripuraneni is here at NBAA’06 promoting his design for the RT-700, a new piston-powered twin-engine airplane with a three-lifting-surface design similar to that employed by Piaggio’s Avanti turboprop. “Obviously we are looking for funding,” said Tripuraneni, president of Aviation Technologies International, based in Orange, Calif.
