ExecuJet Aviation has expanded its aircraft charter and management operation in Mexico with the addition of a Bombardier Global Express and a Dassault Falcon 900B to its fleet. The two jets join three Pilatus PC-12s that are already available for charter. The company has bases at Monterrey’s Del Norte and Mariano Escobedo International airports.

Large-cabin business jet flight activity in December took the biggest hit–26 percent–compared with activity over the same period in 2007, according to the ARG/US year-end business aircraft activity report. The results are somewhat at odds with other market reports, such as the UBS business jet update, which identify the light jet segment as the one that has logged the largest decline.
Farnborough, UK-based air-taxi service Blink recently took delivery of three more Cessna Citation Mustangs and now has four of the very light jets in service and another 26 on order, with five more due to arrive by October. Blink’s contract with Cessna calls for a total of 45 Mustangs, which includes firm orders for 30 and options on 15.

The Trump Organization and Sentient Flight Group have signed a partnership agreement in which Trump clients will have special access to Sentient’s programs. The program will include “one-off” trips to and from Trump locations, as well as preferred access to join the Sentient Jet Membership Program. Sentient members will also receive special benefits at Trump properties.
Fractional share operator Flight Options has furloughed more than 100 pilots, according to the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 1108, which is in contract negotiations with Flight Options. Some mechanics and operational personnel were also laid off, according to Flight Options.
Cessna has delivered the first of two Citation Mustangs to Lebanese charter company Open Sky Aviation. Open Sky Aviation will operate from Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport and will serve destinations including Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
