Phoenix Heliparts Plans MENA Region Expansion
Potomac Solutions (Stand 2177) and Phoenix Heliparts have entered into a multi-year agreement to provide maintenance and repair organization (MRO) capabilities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Phoenix Heliparts, based in Mesa, Arizona, provides MRO support of for MD 500, Bell UH-1, Bell 407 and AH-1 Cobra helicopters, as well as fixed-wing aircraft. The company recently expanded its capabilities to include a second facility, at Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa, to accommodate the demand for fixed-wing MRO. It recently won contracts from the U.S. State Department for major modification and upgrade of two Bombardier Dash 8 turboprops.
The company expects further contracts from the international commercial and state markets. Under the multi-year agreement announced at the Dubai Airshow, Potomac Solutions would will provide the conceptual designs, logistics support and aftermarket support of mission systems and Phoenix Heliparts would will provide the aircraft support.
Phoenix Heliparts provides complete airframe and systems overhaul, structural modifications, avionics, paint, interiors and certification services. It is an AS9110 Quality Maintenance Systems-certified MRO company.
The company is focused on expanding its expertise to the MENA region, which Phoenix Heliparts president Tina Cannon, Phoenix Heliparts president, believes is underserved. “We have to be nimble, capable and thorough, always putting our customers first and foremost,’’ said Cannonshe said. “We’ll deliver parts in person if the an aircraft on ground situation presents itself.
It’s expansion by design,” she added. “It works well in all regions, and we will make it work in the Middle East and North Africa.”
Also here at Dubai, Phoenix Heliparts is offering $10,000 credits on the immediate purchase of one MD 530F and two MD 500 helicopters. The aircraft are prepared ready for complete rework, including custom interior installation, avionics integration, paint and structural build.
“This is a complete rebuild process we are offering, and the buyers benefit by controlling the cost and certified, finished-aircraft specifications,” Cannon said.
