Dassault and CAE have held the first meetings of the Falcon 7X training advisory board in Burgess Hill, UK, and Dallas, Texas. This follows the French airframer’s appointment of CAE SimuFlite in July 2004 as the exclusive training provider for pilots and technicians on the new trijet. The two boards (one each for the Western and Eastern Hemispheres) comprise representatives of business aircraft operators, Dassault and CAE SimuFlite, and were formed so that customers would have the opportunity to help shape the training system that accompanies their airplane. Topics discussed during the meetings included course length, time spent on each training element and the establishment of operationally oriented training that will cover ancillary systems such as head-up displays, enhanced-vision systems and electronic flight bags.
