Gore Design Completions (Booth No. 261) is riding the crest of demand for narrow- and widebody interior completion and refurbishment with deliveries of four aircraft in 2008, even as the doors open to take in new projects.

Since January, the San Antonio, Texas-based independent completion and refurbishment center has delivered two green Boeing Business Jets. The first delivery was also Gore’s first BBJ and went to a U.S. customer.

It was quickly followed by delivery of a second green BBJ to an Asian customer and included an entertainment package with a 46-inch, high-definition monitor in all seats and Blu-ray DVD technology, as well as audio and video databases for each individual monitor. To enhance the cabin environment, LED wash lighting allows control of colors and light intensity.

An approved Airbus interiors shop for less than a year, Gore also delivered its first green Airbus A320 Prestige for a central Asian customer in early 2008. The delivery is the lead Airbus aircraft for two A340s expected to arrive this summer.
The A320 and the BBJ were two of three airplanes delivered to Asian customers. The third was a Boeing 767-300ER for a central Asian head of state.

Amid the delivery activities, Gore is also making room for additional projects, the first of which is a BBJ being completed for a Middle East customer and scheduled for delivery in mid-2009. It is the sixth green BBJ contract signed by Gore since 2006.
One of the most recently signed contracts is for major interior modification of a BBJ for a central Asian head of state. The airplane is due to arrive in July 2008. The reconfiguration will include a VIP stateroom and VIP lounge and conference area. Also part of the project is the addition of a standard economy passenger seating area.
Already in the 120,000-square-foot Gore hangar is a project for the redesign and partial refurbishment of an executive/VIP Airbus A340 for a Middle East head of state.

“We’re pleased to add this project to the growing number of Airbus contracts we have been awarded in the past year,” said Gore founder and CEO Jerry Gore.
