Switzerland-based charter operator VistaJet here on Monday unveiled an unusual tail painting on one of its Bombardier Global XRS business jets–a work of art by U.S. street artist Retna. Intended to bring together the art world and the business aviation world, as VistaJet founder and chairman Thomas Flohr put it, the original graffiti uses Retna’s lettering theme. Retna previously had painted an entire DC-3 he had found in an aircraft boneyard in Tucson, Arizona, he told AIN, and found the Global work inspiring.

This quarter, VistaJet is also introducing new cabin interiors into its 30-plus-strong fleet. They include new silverware and china by Christofle as well as Italian-produced cashmere soft furnishings and in-flight clothing, such as eyemasks and socks. In addition, snacks are now provided by London’s Harvey Nichols. Italian designer Giancarol Petriglia is preparing new crew uniforms, VistaJet added.
