Air Deccan To Get Honeywell Avionics

Air Deccan has selected Honeywell’s full avionics suite and auxiliary power unit (APU) for the 60 Airbus A320s it has on order, the equipment manufacturer announced here. The avionics suite features an enhanced ground proximity system, the ACAS II airborne collision avoidance system and the RDR-4B weather radar. It also includes solid-state recorders (cockpit voice and flight data), an air data inertial reference system and communications and navigation systems from the Quantum line. The APU will be the 131-9A. Honeywell will also provide APU maintenance at its Singapore repair center. Aircraft deliveries will be spread between this year and 2011.
