Alenia CEO Giovanni Bertolone said that his company’s partnership with Sukhoi for the Superjet 100 regional airliner could expand to include other businesses within the Finmeccanica group and a potential support role for the EADS/Alenia-owned Avions de Transport Regional (ATR).

The program partners yesterday continued to add to the Superjet’s supplier base at the show, including CMC Electronics (via avionics integrator Thales) for its CMA-9000 flight management system and Honeywell to supply its RE220 APU. Thales also landed a contract to supply and support training equipment, including three flight simulators and three system trainers, at a training center in Moscow. Meggitt group subsidiary Vibro-Meter has been chosen to design and develop an advanced engine vibration monitoring system for the new regional jet.
