Deutsche Bahn-owned supply-chain management organizations Schenker and BAX Global (Hall 2 Stand C1), which are being prepared for future operation under the former name, are exhibiting together for the first time to promote their respective aerospace and defense services, logistics and distribution solutions.

At the beginning of this year Deutsche Bahn acquired BAX Global to make it part of the DB Logistics group. Now, the two companies’ managements are reviewing processes and customer needs, including commonality with and synergies between each other’s IT systems, with plans to select the best of each.

An early move has been to start a weekly charter flight from Germany to the BAX hub at Toledo, Ohio for North American distribution. BAX subsidiary airline ATI has been acquired by Cargo Holdings International, giving BAX increased flexibility to select appropriate aircraft for its shipments.
