Emteq is a lighting specialist, but don’t call it “Emteq Light.” The New Berlin, Wis.-based systems integrator and FAA certification specialist is becoming a major player. Most recently it reached an agreement for the purchase of airborne lighting systems specialist Flight Components AG of Bachenbulach, Switzerland. The acquisition means Emteq will now offer a complete array of helicopter and fixed-wing exterior lighting products, including anti-collision, position and tail lights as a complement to its existing interior LED lighting systems. The acquisition, to take place early this month, will also serve to increase the company’s European presence. “Our customers are looking for more value and turnkey capabilities, and Flight Components’ exterior lighting is second to none,” said Emteq president and CEO Jerry Jendusa. The deal allows each company to retain its existing name, locations and product and service offerings. Emteq is here at Heli-Expo’07 at Booth No. 3051.
