Honeywell and Sagem have teamed to offer integrated cockpits for helicopter upgrade programs combining the Sagem Integrated Cockpit Display System (ICDS) with Honeywell communication, navigation and enhanced safety/surveillance systems. They are focusing on helicopter fleet upgrades and retrofit opportunities for U.S. military training, drug interdiction in Latin America, EMS, law enforcement and electronic newsgathering. The Honeywell portion of the collaboration will provide improved safety and situational awareness with advanced mapping, traffic, terrain and weather-avoidance products.

Sagem electronic displays comprising the ICDS are on view at the company’s booth (No. 2347) and at 13 other locations in the Heli-Expo 2009 exhibit hall and static display areas. Prominent among them is the Crownair “R44 Grand” panel makeover for the Robinson R44 Raven.
